RENT DAY: 100% Transfer Bonus To Hawaiian And Up To 6x Points Earning From Bilt Rewards

Bilt Rewards is back with huge offers on the first of the month, “Rent Day.” More than a third of Americans rent their homes. For the under-35 demographic it’s two-thirds. And it’s the single biggest expense for most. Bilt makes it rewarding.

For February 1 Bilt is offering their staple double points, up to 6 points per dollar spent, on their Bilt Mastercard. They’re also giving away free points and free tickets to Hawaii (plus paying rent for some program members). And they’re offering an unprecedented 100% transfer bonus to Hawaiian Airlines HawaiianMiles, putting free tickets, upgrades, and partner awards within reach.

100% Transfer Bonus To Hawaiian Airlines

On December 1 Bilt ran a 100% transfer bonus to IHG. That was the first 100% transfer bonus to a 1:1 transfer partner ever.

February 1 they’re running a 1:1 transfer bonus to Hawaiian Airlines HawaiianMiles. That’s the first 100% bonus to an airline with 1:1 transfer ratio. And it’s the best transfer bonus I can really recall since Diners Club used to offer double points on transfers to British Airways each summer up until 2004.

I took advantage of a 25% transfer bonus from American Express to HawaiianMiles to confirm an upgrade on a cheap coach ticket, flying Austin – Honolulu. Hawaiian actually has 2 price levels for upgrades (25,000 miles and 50,000 miles), the higher-level bucket tends to have great availability, and with a 100% transfer bonus is very affordable even!

Indeed, when you cut the cost of Hawaiian awards by 50% this way, even their expensive partner awards become reasonable. Big kudos to Hawaiian and Bilt for doing this.

Bilt is also giving away 5 pairs of Hawaiian Airlines roundtrip tickets as part of their Rent Day Challenge which awards free rent up to $2500.

6x On Dining, 4x On Travel For November 1st Spend

For February 1 Rent Day they are back with double points-earning on the Bilt Mastercard: 6x on dining, 3x on travel, and 2x on other spend (rent isn’t bonused) up to 10,000 bonus points for charges made on the first of the month.

  • I try to lump my spend on the first of the month
  • And I know many of you are buying restaurant gift cards to use later in the month

Free Points

Inside the Bilt Rewards app they run Point Quest trivia on February 1, with 50 points per correct answer to 5 questions and a bonus 6th question worth 100 points if you get the first 5 correct.

Bilt Rewards Points Have Huge Value

Each Bilt point can be spent at 1.25 cents apiece towards travel through their portal or transferred 1:1 into:

  • Star Alliance: Air Canada Aeroplan, Turkish Miles & Smiles, United Airlines MileagePlus
  • oneworld: American AAdvantage, Cathay Pacific Asia Miles, British Airways Executive Club, Iberia Plus
  • SkyTeam: Air France KLM Flying Blue
  • Non-alliance: Emirates Skywards, Virgin Atlantic Flying Club, Hawaiian Airlines HawaiianMiles, Aer Lingus Aer Club
  • Hotels: Hyatt, IHG One Rewards

The Bilt Mastercard is the no annual fee card that lets you earn points paying rent at no cost (up to $50,000 per year) and (outside of Rent Day!) earns double points on travel and triple points on dining.
